Still, wrapped up warm, and decided on some space for where i will sow my broadbeans which will be sown during February. i sowed some in pots in november which are coming on nicely. I have two varieties still to sow, so today, dug over, next weekend will dig over again to try and pull out any roots, and then rake over.LEFT - Digging my broad bean patch
BELOW - A view from half way down my allotment. At the bottom is blackberry brambles which i need to clear. but that is a job after the rest of the plot is ready and dug over for 2014 sowing.
Above - The view from the top of the plot. gosh got a lot of work still to do!
Today i picked some more sprouts. Wondering where the sprouts from the bottom of the stalk have gone though?
And cant wait for the leeks to be ready. Doing really really well.
Especially seeing as when i transplanted them a old guy on the plot, was saying no no no, your putting them in far too late you are wasteing your time, you might aswell discard them.
hmmmm, look like they are doing damn fine to me (probably the mild winter has helped mind!!)
Next time im down going to dig the top end of the plot. probably stick my root veg at this end this year. And Daz - this is where i need the fence up mate!!! oh and I need a shed lol!!!
So busy morning, but a lot more busyness to come.
